Living Diversity: A Discussion Document (2013)

Edited by Ken Rue

Responses to a Dublin and Glendalough Questionnaire on how we ‘live diversity’ in the Church of Ireland, in particular with regard to human sexuality and the Bible.

Human Sexuality in the Context of Christian Belief is an initiative within the Church of Ireland as a result of protracted debate and decisions at the General Synod in 2012. The dioceses of the Church of Ireland were given freedom to explore the issues involved from whatever perspectives they feel to be helpful and appropriate. All of this was to be in preparation for a gathering ahead of the General Synod of 2014. Dublin and Glendalough decided to draw together some thinking and reflection in the area of Living Diversity following an invitation from the Diocesan Council for Mission to undertake this work.
