Launch of ‘Guide to the Conversation on Human Sexuality in the Context of Christian Belief’

The Church of Ireland Select Committee on Human Sexuality has published the result of its three year ‘listening process’. Entitled the “Guide to the Conversation on Human Sexuality in the context of Christian Belief”  it details the long and often fraught journey that this issue has taken from the House of Bishops’ first pastoral letter on the issue of Human Sexuality, in September 2003, right up to the present day and the publication of this guide. Changing Attitude Ireland September 2015 Newsletter Now Available

The last few months have seen significant positive developments in the advancement of the rights and inclusion of LGBT people internationally. The Yes vote in the marriage equality referendum in the Republic of Ireland and judgement by the US Supreme Court have extended civil marriage rights to LGBT people. Recently both the Scottish Episcopal Church and the US Episcopal Church have made liturgical and canonical changes to allow LGBT people to marry within the church. [Continue Reading]
